Thoughts on Big Ole' Nasty Marathons.
Why do people run marathons? I don't mean normal 5k's or whatever, I mean the extreme marathons where you have to pay a 100 dollar entrance fee, and it doesn't even support a cause. Trevor and I caught the end of a televised marathon, and even the winners immediately puked and collapsed upon crossing the finish line. And does winning a marathon even really count when you have to be wheeled away after you finish?

some people are just crazy and have to win. i'd rather win a couch sitting contest.
I have known some of these people, and have manned aid stations along the routes they run. They are an interesting class of people. I thin that many of them are running away from something. Apparently something that requires that they run a long way to get away from.
